Position Summary

Develops loan applications by evaluating applicant information and documentation and matching them with appropriate residential loan program. Provide courteous and cooperative support to customers from the opening to closing of their loan.

About This Position

  • Interviews applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans.
  • Evaluates loan applications and documentation by confirming creditworthiness.
  • Improves loan applications and documentation by informing applicants of additional requirements.
  • Justifies and communicates decisions (approvals/denials) to applicants and reports on them.
  • Counsels clients on policies and restrictions.
  • Maintains and keeps all records confidential.
  • Keeps own NMLS licensing updated; participates in educational opportunities, and supports own professional growth.
  • Develops referral networks and builds and grows own clientele database.
  • Operates in compliance with laws and regulations and adheres to lending compliance guidelines.
  • Adhere and comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • General banking knowledge.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel applications.
  • Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and closely, and harmoniously with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work an 8 hour day, 8 am to 5 pm
  • Ability to work efficiently from home, if needed.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
