Meg’s Smile Foundation is a charitable organization that provides special days out or gifts to children affected by serious illnesses who are treated in North Carolina hospitals. Our mission is to bring smiles to the faces of these children and their families while they are going through what can be a very long and emotional journey.

St. Jude Hospital

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

Zach’s Toy Chest – Holly Springs Branch

Zach’s Toy Chest is an organization designed to help pediatric patients by providing new, unwrapped toys at hospitals.

Homeward Bound – West Asheville

Homeward Bound ends homelessness in Western North Carolina by moving people into housing of their own and providing the support they need to stay housed for good.

Irene Wortham Center – West Asheville

The Irene Wortham Center provides comprehensive, quality residential and day services for children and adults with developmental disabilities and/or socioeconomic challenges.

Children First – West Asheville

Children First’s mission is to empower children and their families to reach their full potential through advocacy, education and services. The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Heart of a Warrior Foundation

The Heart Of A Warrior Foundation prides itself on the mantra that embodied Josh: “Never give up.” The Foundation recognizes that U.S. Navy SEALs and their families have an imminent need for continued support during active duty and also after their contribution to the fight for freedom is over. Our mission is to preserve Josh’s spirit and character by making charitable donations to organizations devoted to protecting and enhancing the mental, physical and educational well-being of U.S. Navy SEALs and their families. Just as Josh would have it, the Heart Of A Warrior Foundation intends to “never give up” on his teammates so that their lives meet with victory on the home front.
