Glenn's fledgling endeavor quickly expanded. Looking for a talented partner to join him he
recruited Cindy Bianchini who had been featured on KQED's "Great Chefs of San Francisco"
program while at Coqeuilicot Restaurant and was working as a pastry chef at Campton Place
Restaurant in San Francisco. It was a successful partnership. Glenn and Cindy married
in 1989 and that same year traveled to Italy to hand pick a line of equipment to assist
them in production.

By 1992 Grace Baking had topped $2.5 million in sales and Glenn and Cindy were ready to
embrace the wholesale food market. Fred Doar, who had honed his skills working with
food companies while at Arthur Andersen Co. and Nestle Beverage Co. recognized the
tremendous potential of the business and joined Grace Baking. His expertise allowed
the company to increase its restaurant and upscale grocery store market to its current
250 accounts. It also offered Cindy and Glenn the opportunity to focus on training
others in their art and managing the retail operations. Fred became a full partner in
the business in 1993.
